| Millers win 2 of 3 League game this week. GAME 1: Tim Brown gave the Millers time to earn a 7-5 victory over the Spring Valley Hawks. Tim went 6 2/3 innings, 4h, 2R, 2ER, 3BB, 4K. Picking up the save was Logan Peterson 2 innings, 1H, 1R, 0ER, 2BB, 1K. Logan has been a huge pickup of the Millers this season pitching in every game so far. Dan Ragsdale was 4-5, 2R, 4 RBI, 3 Doubles. GAME 2: Mitch Paquin, took the mound against the Menomonie. Paquin pitched 5 2/3 innings, 2H, 4R, 2ER, 4BB, 3K to earn a no decision. Eagles had the game 4-3 until the bottom of the 9th inning. With bases loaded and 1 out Millers were able to get 1 run to tie the game at 4-4 when Ragsdale was hit by pitch. Millers meat of the order was shut down in the 9th (that hurts). Menomonie score 2 runs on 2 errors in the 10th and shut down the Millers 1-2-3 for a 6-4 victory in 10 innings. GAME 3: 13 innings anyone? Bravo to Tim Brown who pitch 12 innings on the hottest day so far. Tim strike out 11 Bombers but ran out of gas in the bottom the 13th inning. The Millers had to count on the closer Logan Peterson to finish out with a 7-6 victory over the Bay City Bombers. Bomber's Shane Strain hit 2 HR one in the 6th and in the 8th to tie the game 5-5. Miller's Dan Ragsdale was 4-7, 1RBI, 1 2B. Curt Kleinschmidt was 3-6, 1R, 1RBI. The Millers are now W3-L3 in League play and W6-L4 overall. Next up the NRMB Tournament June 15-17 |
| Millers gets first league win of the year. Tim Brown allowed only 2 hits in 7 innings for the 11-1 victory. Millers were shut down for 3 innings, but opened the flood gates scoring 11 runs in 4 innings. Casey Crisp lead the Millers with 2 hits and 3 Rbi's. The big hit of the day goes to Matt "Big swing" Peterson. With the Millers needing 2 runs to end the game in 7innings. Peterson hit a two run blast to left field for the walk-off homerun. |

| On Friday June 29th the Millers beat Spring Valley 10-4 to take the North division lead with a 4-3 record. The game on Friday started off not so hot. With a late start do to a umpire mix-up the game got started at 8:20 pm. Ryan Stephens was allowed to be the umpire for the game. The match up was Miller's Tim Brown vs Ex-Miller Dan Morgan. The game went quickly and before anyone noticed it was tied at 2's in the 6th inning. Spring Valley had there chances to take the lead, but with back to back base running mistakes, SV was shut down. Millers then jumped all over SV scoring 8 runs in 2 innings. With Tim Brown getting the sure win, Millers put in TJ Wink to close the game down. |
ELLSWORTH TOURNY The Millers played in the Ellsworh Hubbers tourny june 22nd-24th. The Millers were able to get a bye in the first round. Millers next game was at 8:00pm Saturday night against the Menomonie Eagles. Millers started rookie pitcher Tj Wink, but only made thru two innings. Then Logan Tried to get the Millers back into the game with great pitching. At on point the Millers were down 7-1 but in the 6th inning we scored 6 runs. With Logan running out of gas Menomonie was able to score in the bottom of the 7th inning. Sundays game for 3rd place was against Elmwood Expos. Only pitching highlites in this one. Elmwood's Keys allowed only 2 hits and 1 earned run while Millers Mitch Paquin allowed 4 hits and 1 run, 0 earned. Millers beat Elmwood 2-1. NRMB TOURNY The Millers had there own tourny on June 15th-17th. Millers had a great tournament hosting, but not playing. The tourny had two games on Friday with Ellsworth Hubbers win over the Mpls Bluesox 11-1. ( note: Jeremiah Paulson is the first to hit Homer to right field with a wood bat since the WBA went take to using wood that I know of.) In the 2nd game Spring Valley called to play against last year's champion Stillwater Loggers. WOW! What a game. SV Hawks was down 6-0 by the 2nd inning and came back to win 9-6. Saturday's games 11am- Menomonie beat Wausua 5-1. 1:30pm game Exeland beat NR Millers 8-1 LP Mitch Paquin. 4:00pm game Stillwater beat Blue sox 5-0. 6:30 game Ellswoth beat SV Hawks 8-0. 8:30 game Exeland beat Menomonie 1-0 in 10 innings. I forgot to tell you, Menomonie's pitcher Rob Hellor had a No-hitter thru 9 innings before giving up two hits and lossing the game in the bottom of the 10th. Sundays games 10am- Wausua 14- Millers 9. 12:30pm 5th place game Stillwater 12 - Wausua 1. 3:00pm 3rd place game Menomonie 8 - SV Hawks 0. 5:30pm Championship game Exeland 9 - Ellswoth 1. | Well the Miller's give another X-mas present to Menomonie Eagles again. The Millers had a handicap in this game with a couple of Millers hung over due to a B-day party, Manager Stephens was not to happy, Their tired play hurt the Millers during the game. Millers had a 7-2 lead with Mitch Paquin on the hill. With Paquin was getting tired and of the errors also, earned a ND. Logan Peterson tried saving the day, but the Eagles were able to score 5 runs to tie the game. After the big ralley the Millers could not touch Eagles Rob Hellor, who the 8-7 win in 10 innings. Tim got the loss trying to help the Millers win in the 9 & 10 inning. After the loss Millers had fallen to third in the North division with a 4-4 record. | This is the 70th year Citizen's Field has been around. The Millers would like to make this day a fund raiser to to help fix it up. Food and Beer will start a 5:00 PM. We are looking for anyone who has played for the Millers, High school teams, or other sports in the past. Get to visit with the 2007 Millers, and tell your stories of the past.
